Carson Fields Is One Of 19 GSW Student-Athletes To Be Recognized For Academic Achievement By The D2 ADA

Carson Fields from Bogart, GA, has been been recognized by the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) for their academic excellence during the 2015-16 school year.

Fields, a member of the Georgia Southwestern State University Tennis team, is one of 19 Hurricane student-athletes to be recognized.

A total of 156 institutions sent in nominees for the 2015-16 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards, while a record total of 8,072 student-athletes were recognized. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work and been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
