Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) student Gloria Brown was named the First Place Delores Capitan Writing Award winner at GSW's 2017 Honors and Recognition Ceremony on April 24 in Jackson Hall.

The Dolores Capitan Writing Awards are giving by Dr. William H. Capitan, the University's eighth president, to honor his late wife's love of writing and to foster writing across the curriculum.
