Nicholas Ward Is One Of 19 GSW Student-Athletes To Be Recognized For Academic Achievement By The D2 ADA

Nicholas Ward from Eastbourne, , has been been recognized by the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) for their academic excellence during the 2015-16 school year.

Ward, a member of the Georgia Southwestern State University Golf team, is one of 19 Hurricane student-athletes to be recognized.

A total of 156 institutions sent in nominees for the 2015-16 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards, while a record total of 8,072 student-athletes were recognized. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work and been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
