Sydney Scott of Richland inducted into Georgia Southwestern's chapter of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society

Sydney Scott of Richland was one 21 students inducted into Georgia Southwestern State University's chapter of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society for first-year students.

Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) was founded in 1924. Since then, it has continued to encourage and acknowledge the academic success of first-year students; it now has over 260 chapters and has initiated over 850,000 students. To be invited to join ALD, one must be a full-time student pursuing a baccalaureate degree with a 3.5 or higher GPA and be in the top 20 percent of the class during the first term or first year of study. The Georgia Southwestern chapter of ALD was chartered in November 1976.
